Moonlight Garden is the quilt that Pat, Ruth, Laurel and I made for the 2010 Ohio MCC Relief Sale.

One of the pleasures of summer is to watch the evening primroses open their blossoms at that lovely time of dusk when the light and temperature are just right for them launch into bloom right before your eyes.

I just completed sewing together a bed scarf for the MCC quilt room. Since oriental fabrics were used I think an appropriate name would be "Taste of the Orient".

Kristin's computer bag.

Saturday Kristin and I headed down to Charm in Holmes County to shop at Miller's Dry Goods; it happened to be National Quilting Day on the 20th, so I guess this was our way of celebrating. After selecting our fabrics we went to my house and worked on projects- Kristin on a computer bag and I completed the border on my Bali Hops (throw) project.

I recently completed a sewing project I had been working on this winter - 6 pieced/quilted placemats. The pattern was from Pam Bono Designs, Inc., Banquet of Quilts.

I am thoroughly enj0ying this pleasant weather and warmer temperatures this second week of March. Yes, we still do have some snow on the ground at places where it was deeper or drifted, but the promise of impending spring is in the air. My cardinals have apparently found other feeding grounds because I see less and less of them at the feeders.

This afternoon I was blessed with 4 eastern bluebirds perching in the big tree that is in full view of my kitchen window. What a lovely sight and holding the promise of spring. That is especially welcome after days and weeks of snowy wintry weather.
